Let me clarify. Lady Gaga deserves to be famous. If you were to choose someone who doesn’t deserve to be famous, you’re point would have been much more effective.
I would say her appearance is part of her art. I’m a fan of TYT, but I think you chose a poor platform to make this point. You’re on to something legitimate, I just don’t see the connection you’re trying to make here.

Hey she still looks like herself XD I doubt Lady Gaga is all crazy in real life like she is in her videos and all with her hair, makeup and clothes but we all know that stars are covered with makeup and that they’re not always gonna be exactly like that in real life xD
I think she does have talent though, I love her voice xD she does have a thing with the way she dresses though, and her looks and all.
Cenk’s point was that LGG was “normal” until she was fabricated into what she is today. Which is patently false. She dressed wildly and had already adopted the name “Gaga” long before she was even famous, when she was still doing burlesque shows in New York. Though I do agree that image is overly important in this culture, he seems to be trying to make artistic expression and pride in one’s self seem like just fads– which makes me a sad panda.
